M for Mandarine
The mandarin is a citrus fruit. It is the fruit of the mandarin tree, a species of tree in the Rutaceae family. An ancient cousin of the clementine.
The mandarin is distinguished by :
- its flattened round shape
- its sweet taste
- tasty pulp with seeds
- its thin bark
Organic, Beautiful and Good
Our mandarins are organically grown with the greatest care, without any chemical treatment. They ripen on the tree. Harvesting is entirely manual. Harvesting takes place from January to February.
Rich in vitamin C, it is most often eaten plain or candied with sugar. It's just as much a part of cooking as oranges.
